Various groups perform at McKinley Park in Marion each Sunday evening at 7pm during the summer months.   Attendance at the concerts is free, although donations are accepted to offset expenses of the scheduled performers.  The exception is the Marion Concert Band, which donates its time and energy for the project.  Here is the 2022 schedule:

June 12      Omega Kick
June 19      Marion Concert Band
June 26      High Street Stompers  **
July 3          Cat Daddy & The Handsome Gentlemen
July 10        United in Harmony
July 17        Marion Concert Band
July 24        Trombones Plus, with Kelly Crum Delaveris  ***
July 31
Quintessence Strings Quartet and The Marionaires
August 7    The Palace Theatre Big Band, with John and Ann
August 14   Marion Concert Band

**  The High Street Stompers are a Dixieland Group that began in 1987 when all the original members were Professors of Music at The Ohio State University.

*** Kelly Crum Delaveris (daughter of Jimmy Crum) performing with Trombones Plus. is a renown Jazz Vocalist that frequently sings with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra.

Please note:  the performances DO NOT occur "rain or shine".  They are very weather-dependent, as most groups include instruments unsuitable for damp conditions - guitars, woodwinds, electronic keyboards, etc.

If you are considering a donation for the 2022 season, this is the perfect time to make that commitment.  Donors are recognized in the printed program distributed at each concert, by announcement during the performance, and by mention here, at our web site.  The Marion Concert Band is a registered 501 (C) (3) charity (#34-1492139), making contributions tax deductible.

Donations in any amount are appreciated.  Checks should be made out to the Marion Concert Band, and sent either to our Director, Bill Swihart at 632 Bordeaux Avenue, Marion, Ohio  43302, or our Treasurer, Beth Cumbie, at 960 Villandry Drive, Marion, OH  43302.  Questions can be directed to Bill Swihart at 740-360-2213.

Thanks to all of you who choose to support the performing arts in Marion.
